The story behind Sympa

Where we come from

Sympa was founded in 2005 by two siblings, Keijo and Taina. They firmly believed that companies would benefit if they were more informed about their people’s skills and talent. As there were no smart solutions for tracking and analysing that vital HR information, they started to develop the perfect tool. Soon the idea grew into a desire to build a complete HR solution for supporting both employees and employers through-out the entire employee life cycle.

Over the years, Sympa has grown rapidly: we’ve hired around 15 new Sympaticos every year.

Our customers mean the world to us. Having overwhelmingly happy customers is the reason why Sympa is now the fastest growing HR service provider in the Nordics with more than 60 employees in seven offices and six countries. The software itself is used in more than 50 countries and is available in 13 languages. Despite the rapid growth, Sympa remains a family-owned business.

Our plan for the future

We are as passionate as ever in helping companies improve their employees’ happiness and development. That’s why we continue to invest a large share of our revenue in research and development in order to provide our customers with an even better product.

At the same time, we are also constantly expanding to new markets. Our vision from day one has been to build a global company.

It’s in our nature to innovate based on the latest trends in both software and HR development. Expect some big changes in the very near future.
